About

We are trying to make campus life easier to enter, easier to organize, and harder to miss.

Active Bilkent started from a simple problem: students had free time, empty courts existed, and games were still being lost inside scattered group chats. We wanted one calm place where someone could see what is happening, join quickly, and get back to living their day.

Discover

Find open games, routes, courts, and training sessions without asking five different chats.

Organize

Post the basics people need: what, where, when, capacity, and who is already showing up.

Show up

Spend less time planning and more time moving, meeting people, and building a real routine.

Students playing basketball together on an outdoor court

A small story about why this matters.

A first-year student wants to play basketball after class, but does not know the right people yet. A club organizer has a field reservation, but needs four more players. A dorm group wants to run at night, but nobody wants to coordinate another messy message thread.

Active Bilkent exists for those moments. It treats sport as more than a schedule. It is a way to meet people, reduce stress, stay healthier, and feel like campus is something you can actually participate in.

Campus should feel easier to join.

The project is designed around public-benefit campus goals: healthier student routines, more inclusive access to activities, and better use of shared facilities.

We are trying to remove the friction around showing up. No endless forwarding, no guessing if a game is still happening, no locked-in friend circles.

Movement creates stronger student communities.

A visible board of active opportunities gives students a reason to leave the room, meet someone new, and build a routine that actually lasts.

Active Bilkent keeps the product simple because the goal is simple: find the activity, join the activity, and show up.

What we are improving

We are trying to remove the friction around showing up. No endless forwarding, no guessing if a game is still happening, no locked-in friend circles. Just a visible board of active opportunities and a simple path to join them.
